Building.hr, the central platform for construction in Croatia, has reached the number of as many as 850 registered member companies in the six months since its launch.This was said by Maja Borovina Frankić, who is behind the idea and development of this platform, and who was joined by some foreign companies, recognizing her potential opportunities. These are, above all, useful and relevant sectoral information, contacts and business connections.
"We have developed Building.hr over the years, thoroughly and dedicated to detail. We believed that the concept would be recognized by colleagues in the construction sector, but the first wave of registrations and the figure of 850 companies really pleasantly surprised us and confirmed to us that we had created a useful product. This is just the beginning of the story that, I believe, brings construction in Croatia in step with modern trends, simplifies business and ultimately indirectly enables growth for Croatian companies and the Croatian economy", said Borovina Frankić, an economist who has been working in the construction sector for many years through engagement in the family business Spegra, through which she detected first-hand the challenges that companies face.
Problem response
The platform Building.hr, he adds, aims to become the largest and most relevant database of information, contacts and other valuable and relevant content for companies from the construction and close sectors. A place where companies will network and connect, help them find adequate and proven partners and subcontractors, and speed up and simplify processes. It was created as a response to the long-standing market situation and the problems that the construction sector is continuously struggling with, which have been strongly emphasized in the last few years – lack of labor, data inaccessibility, unavailability of information, poor B2B cooperation, disproportion of supply and demand with regard to geographical position and a significant lag behind digital trends.
"In the future, and we plan to do so very soon through the expansion of the platform concept Building.hr offer colleagues from the sector more services and opportunities. Already at the end of 2023, we will present what it is about, and what I can say at this point is that it will be unique, useful and carefully thought out. Of course, users of the platform will also have advantages when consuming this new 'product', so I invite companies that have not yet to join the selected community of relevant stakeholders of our sector and to create a more successful construction in Croatia together", said Borovina Frankić.
